Graph Viewer

To display a graph of your log entries select a desired category and select the Graph menu item from the menu within the Log Manager.

Controls

  1. Refresh – Forces the graph to reload all graph elements from the database.
  2. Legend – Shows an expanded view of the details of each data element on the graph based on the colour shade rendered. You can hide this view by pressing this menu item again or by pressing your device’s back button.
  3. Settings – Allows you to change the graph to another or change other cosmetic features to make it easier to read.
  4. Email – Allows you to send the current illustrated graph and legend as 2 attached images to a recipient.
  5. Save – Allows you to store the currently rendered graph and legend data as 2 images within a desired folder.

  1. Graph type – Defines what graph should be used to render the data submitted. Choose between scatter, line, filled line, bar, radar and pie.
  2. Colour – Controls the colour shade that is used to render the data elements within the graph.
  3. Attribute – Changes the selected property of the data that is used to render the graph.
  4. Position – Allows you to scroll the data elements within the graph if there are too many to display at any one time. This will be disabled if there are too few elements on screen to justify scrolling.
  5. Items per Graph view – Sets the number of data elements that can be displayed at any one time. This will be disabled if there are too few elements to justify.
  6. Decimal Places – Alters the number of decimal places to display with regard to data elements. By default this will be calculated automatically when decimal places is set to 0. Screenshot showing graph controls and settings.
  7. Enable Marker Labels – Toggles the rendering of the data elements value on the graph
  8. Enable Markers – Toggles the rendering of the colour plots on the graph.
  9. Enable Average Strike – Calculates the average value given the selected property of the data and renders a horizontal line on the graph with said calculated value if the Enable Markers checkbox is checked.
  10. Enable Correlation Strike – Approximates the slope or direction of the data elements and renders a line describing this with the label “positive” if the data is increasing in value, “negative” if the data is decreasing in value or “neutral” if the dispersion of data cannot be determined in either direction.
  11. Enable Horizontal Labels – Toggles the rendering of text on the x-axis of the graph
  12. Enable Vertical Labels – Toggles the rendering of text on the y-axis of the graph.
  13. Enable Grid – Toggles the horizontal and vertical intersecting lines rendered behind the graph points.
  14. Marker Size – Changes the size of the coloured plots on the graph.
  15. Line width – Changes the width of the line used to plot data elements within the graph. Screenshot showing graph controls and settings.
