Working out what direction your facing

Knowing which way your going is key to mastering more advanced techniques and can make all the difference between life or death. To do this perform the following:

Step 1

Select the Start menu item from the menu bar.

Step 2

Either rotate the compass face so that the point marked as N or North is covered by the needle end that is pointing to magnetic North or select the Orientate Compass menu item from the menu to have this procedure done for you

Step 3

Read the cardinal direction that is shown by the compass face pointing to the top centre of the screen or you can look at the text marked Facing if you have enabled it within the application’s settings to see a more accurate description of which way you are looking. This is known as determining your heading.
