"I often look at the issues that exist in the world and it is very difficult to comprehend the full complexity of all systems and individuals, their situations and the variables and constants that intertwine everything and everyone together. It is like seeing someone drowning and you want to get out there and help them to safety but you don't know how to swim. You then start to realise the frailty of life; how short it is for you and how much shorter it is for others who may not have what you have.
I wish I had super powers to help people. To make peoples lives better, to stop the wars, stop the fighting, stop the hate and promote knowledge, peace and kindness but I am just one guy. I'm mortal, average, limited... human, and for me being human there are going to be things that I just can't do. I can't lock up the bad guys, teach a skills course, heal the sick or make everyone happy. I'm not Superman, I don't have the knowledge or the facilities to get the right help to the right people for every possible scenario but maybe I can help in another way. That is, perhaps I can create something that makes a persons life better; a product, a super product and perhaps then that person who receives such a product will do better in their own life, set a good example and improve another persons life and so on and so on from generation to generation.
I founded SuperLiteralProducts because I want to do good with good, I don't know how much time I have left but while I do have time I want to find a way to contribute positively to peoples lives through programming. This is my thinking."

SuperLiteralProducts is a business that creates mobile applications for Android. It was founded officially on August 1st 2024 by Fuzzytrapazoidwave with the idea of producing good quality mobile applications for the purpose of raising peoples quality of life.
We are back again. We took some time to reflect on our current progress by hearing people out and gauging what they want in an Android app. One individual we spoke to expressed a desire to connect with nature in some way through a compass application.
He writes:
“I really want my phone to be a tool. Something I’m using to enhance or extend my abilities to do stuff in the world. I don’t want it to be my world. I am thinking I want a compass on my phone and I want it to do more but I’m not sure what that would mean exactly, I know I don’t want it to have ads in it but I just want it to be like a third arm if that makes sense.
I am quite anxious about the climate and I like to do walks in nature to center myself. I just put that out there I don’t know if you can do something with that.
Regards”
Thank you anonymous for your comments and we hope that ICompass is what you and others are looking for. We too at SuperLiteralProducts also share in your concern for the planet and the climate. We are still starting up; bills, staff and consultants all need to be paid but if the sales of this application are good we will make sure to donate a good chunk to a nature based charity. We are currently thinking of the WWF charity but If you or anyone else would like to put forward any other nature based charities then please contact us via the Feedback page and we will be happy to take it under consideration.
Speaking more specifically of the app we weren’t too sure about the magnetic based sensor and the accelerometer sensor on some of the unbranded and less well known phones. We tried running this on a Star N9000 which had a modded Android version and while it works fine in portrait mode we were getting inaccurate compass readings in Landscape mode, so we added a manual switch in the main menu to change the orientation and added 2 different offsets. One for landscape mode and one for portrait mode.
There was also a strange problem with accessing the camera on a Chuwi Hi10pro tablet where the app would just crash out. This isn’t a big deal because that particular model doesn’t have the sensors to use a compass but what we learnt was that despite the tablet using Android 5.1 the new camera API doesn’t work on it so we added a setting that forces the old camera API to be used instead. Beyond this we can’t really say why its doing that perhaps that version of Android is very unique.
Anyway once again many thanks for all your feedback and we hope ICompass will be a good companion app for you.
SuperLiteralProducts is almost officially open for business! We want to take a moment to thank all of those who have worked with us to get this far especially you Quartercirclewithcheese; you broke our source code a few times but we forgive you. Now there are still a few t's to cross and i's to dot but nonetheless we are launching with our first Android mobile application IResetWiFi, we just have to wait for the Google Play store to validate it.
IResetWiFi* which was requested by a person called Serrif expressed that he has found that the Wi-Fi connection on his smartphone depreciates in quality over time and so he has to keep switching it off and then on again. Now Serrif actually wanted an application to detect the quality of the Wi-Fi signal and reset the Wi-Fi adapter in his smartphone when it drifts below a user set standard but as far as we know there is no way for us to do that using the Android SDK so we made something that resets periodically based on the users choice.
*Disclaimer – The Wi-Fi reset function of this app is not compatible with Android Q or later.
The reason for this is beyond our control and relates to the way Google manages each newer incarnation of Android.
It’s possible that Google could change this in the future and allow for this kind of function to be used by an app on a future version of Android,
if that’s the case then we will make the required code changes to update this app if possible.
If you are using an incompatible Android version then this app will still be available for you to access via the Google Play store and the code that
relates to resetting will still be executed but it is not likely to work, you can try it if you like and if it does work you can
tell us using the Feedback page.
From what we have learnt we don't really have the ability to
display the app on the Google Play Store for those with Android versions that are compatible
because Google requires that all new apps target the most recent version of Android in order to be published.
So specifically targeting an older version like Android Lollipop does not appear to be allowed but again we are still confirming this.
Also, if you are using a power saving technology app like the Battery saver function on the LG Q7 then there is a chance that
the reset function of this app will fail to operate especially if the app is removed from memory.
Just a side note we can appreciate that considering the age of the Android versions that this app is compatible with you might be querying that besides the request from Serrif why we decided to continue and build this app. The answer to this is not solely based on nostalgia but rather the fact that not everyone has an equal opportunity in this world. Some people live in less economically developed nations and may not be able to physically access the latest smartphone technology; perhaps they only have access to old hardware that cost much of their wages or a cloned version of a known official brand or maybe they have to share one between others. Either way we don't believe that it's fair to expect a person living in such a scenario to just upgrade their phone for a more recent model especially if their life is unstable, as such we at SuperLiteralProducts want to push the boundaries of ALL available technology so that no one is left behind.
Final note in keeping with the idea of helping people SuperLiteralProducts will be donating 60% of the profits earned from now till
January 22nd 2025 (Donation day will be on the 25th of January 2025 to account for the Google Play Store refund policy) of this app to Doctors Without Borders!
Thank you all once again and we hope the application is useful to you.
